Details of the Experience

The tour starts at Edinburgh Castle, where I will tell you about how the developments 340 million years ago and the Ice Age shaped what we know today as Edinburgh and why this place was perfect to have a fort here. We will then walk down the Royal Mile, where you will see some of the most interesting attractions. This leg of the tour will end at the Palace of Holyrood House, the official residence of the Queen when she is in Scotland and the Scottish Parliament. We then walk up to Regent Road to have a wonderful view on Holyrood Park and head towards the east end of Edinburgh. From there we will explore the streets which constituted the first stage of the New Town.
